My seascape locations are the North Sea coast at Teeside, Yorkshire and North Norfolk; the Atlantic at Redpoint, Applecross and Mellon Udrigle, North West Scotland and St David's Peninsula, Wales. I was born by the sea and I have kept a bond with the coast. I have a feeling of home when I am by the shoreline.

Woodland has a healing quality for many. Being amongst trees helps me in times of stress and trauma, The woodlands photographed are close to where I live and I visit them often, usually at least once or twice a week. I have built a close relationship with specific sites that, over time and with repeat visits, have enabled me to observe, communicate and record beyond that of a casual encounter. The resulting images depict the trees through the lens of my emotional response. and sensory experience.

 I am fortunate to have Synesthesia - my mind associates senses with different colours. Synesthesia makes the quality of light and colour a very important individual means of creative communication in my work..
